Give me a gun
And I’d shot her dead
Because she’s nothing more
That spunk in a bed.

Her sheets are dirty
She has pillows of stone
I’m not comfortable around her
Her body is a drone.

She’s like a big iceberg
Daggers out for fight
An angel in the morning
Mostly the devil in the night.

A truly fucked up Jekell and Hyde
How can I treat her like a sister
When the witches of Eastwick
Seemed gentler at Easter.

How can she escape from her cage
Will the bird inside to get free
No wonder there is no peace
With the demons in her sea.

But maybe if we swallow our pride
Put aside past disputes
Throw away our guilt
conflicts ills and reputes.

We can then laugh out loudly
At these little pains gripes and shades
Learn to laugh together
All the darkness will fade.

I think the sentiment in this is well expressed Chris, the frustration and ultimate desire to want to make things work.

Couple of comments/questions:

Did you mean 'shoot' in second line?
Didn't understand fourth stanza about treating her like a sister;
Fifth stanza: 'Will the bird inside to get free'?

I agree with walrus it sounds better with shoot than shot, unless this was what you meant and forgot the other o.I did get the forth stanza. One person two different personalities. One you can love the other you hate.Well done xxxx Alice

Frustrating, maddening, even addictive, I dare say - for you wrote about it, so there must be something - flicker, spark, bond, tenuous and solid all at once.

We all have our various aspects, whether Jekyll & Hyde, the Marx Brothers or the entire cast of the Magic Roundabout. But would we appreciate certain aspects without the contrast provided by the darker, fiery sides? Hmmm, I just don't know.

Write on,

fearless

I like this, it's got a twisted, brutish, obsessive voice.

Thanks guys and gals, comments appreciated !

Yes, it is meant to be shoot instead of shot - typo !

And yes, treat her like a sister is both a focus on one side of the personality and an extension (or trying extension) or brotherly/sisterly love.

Will the bird to be free - an analogy at how we all keep ourselves locked up in certain difficult situations, and we all have the key to free ourselves.

Thanks
