The rainbow running through my head leads to a land of tootie-frootie sherbet fizz. Candy-striped hope and happiness wait for me there, hand-in-hand with the possibilities I passed by in past daydreams.
The rainbow running through my head is a sugar-coated tour-guide to tomorrow.

I like this, reminding me of hope, wonder, 'The Magic Roundabout', and the lyrics from 'Strawberry Letter 23' by Shuggie Otis:
"All through the morning rain I gaze
The sun doesn’t shine,
Rainbows and waterfalls run
Through my mind.
In the garden I see
West purple shower bells and tea,
Orange birds and river cousins
Dressed in green.
Pretty music I hear
So happy and loud,
Blue flower echo from
A cherry cloud.
Feel sunshine sparkle pink and blue,
Playgrounds will laugh if you
Try to ask "Is it cool?"
Write on,
Fearless

Woz - a few lines inspired by my Weemee and the fact I've taken too many drugs for 1 my age!...glad you liked it!
Shuggie's words 'resonate'...

I particularly like the way this is broken up, keeping the second part short and concise work really well. Perhaps it's my wayward nature that draws me to it!

Forgot to mention, I like the the sujested rhyme of 'fizz' and 'happiness'. Rather draws the attention and makes the following line more powerfull.

Cheers Iggy. Here's hoping your tomorrows are all sugar-coated also...
