And what if all the poets are for war?
And with a loaded pen take up the cause?

The pen, we know, is mightier than the sword
Great firepower lurks within the word.

No stealth, no lumbering B five-two has yet the weight
Of bombing power loaded on a page.

But poets know the power that they hold
And those whose pen is poised have still a soul.

All we can do is write, while the war mongers destroy other lives but never their own. They don't send their sons to war just other peoples.Well done.xxxAlice

This is an insightful and interesting take on the war in Iraq. It is a thought-provoking piece from the onset – “And what if all the poets are for war? And with a loaded pen take up the cause?” I found it very intuitive.
