Her lipstick is pink and perfect.
There's a bright twinkle in each of her eyes as they search us out on the bus
Finding us they dance
This woman will never die!
It's a lie
Courage is what keeps her back straight
And hair neat and tidy
While the latest fashion works to do her bidding
Briefly it hides her secret truth
Passed away youth
Stick like legs support a Bi-Afran belly
Underneath her up-to-date black down coat
And it's getting harder not to see
Bravery starts to bend under the weight of her starvation
As she quietly nods a little in agreement
That just maybe
This can't go on
