It is a fact,
that sometimes,
my language can be blue,
my utterances debase,
my expression, obscene
and I am often asked
'Is it so necessary
to blaspheme?'
Such obvious delight
in shocking
the mild folk,
the silent outrage
I invoke.
My response,
invariably is:
swearing,
is register,
like any other -
used effectively -
without abuse,
can convey spice, humour,
tint and texture.
So, while I listen
to your criticism -
your conceited reproach,
I wonder in all honesty,
why don’t you
just shut the fuck up?
