Rebirthing from the shadows

Summary: I've just written this after a very weird night - having read it back to myself it makes no sense, but thought I'd submit it and hope for feedback. ;0)

O Melancholic moon of cheese,
light my way,
to safety.
Lustrous satin nights like these,
remorseless,
devastate me.
Wrapped in polythene
I suffocate before day's dawning -
cruel melancholic moon of cheese
lay murdered by the morning.

As sunlight warms my body
I breathe in the taste of rebirth -
sweet lunar child,
the hybrid caste
of dreamscaped space and earth.

Reads to me like a journey from night into day. Suffocation could be the worry of what the day brings, but ultimately Ra casts his rays to give you life yet again. Maybe. Possibly. Oh, I don't know.

Fearless - I had a strange experience last night / this morning which I was trying ( poorly, I fear! ) to convey. A journey, yes, definitely. It's as though I went to bed as one person, a lost and weary person, and awoke today as a different, more focused, person. So, yes, as though I died and then was reborn...or summink like that!

Your lyric, to me, conveyed almost one revolution of a cycle. When we are tired things affect us greatly. Sleep helps us to revive (regenerate, perhaps?). Maybe we have to die a little to live a lot, lot more. Nice poem, creates sparks and bright lights in my mind's eye.
