The sun set on my mind,
all those many years ago,
I took my last glimpse of that rainbow coloured sky
and pulled the duvet over my eyes.
Turn into myself to be blinded,
by wide-eyed blackness,
I don’t need you to be so alone, in the real me
that only my darkness has known.
This colourless wonder,
seeps through my fingertips,
onto these pages so I show this to myself,
myself you see in yourself.
all those many years ago,
I took my last glimpse of that rainbow coloured sky
and pulled the duvet over my eyes.
Turn into myself to be blinded,
by wide-eyed blackness,
I don’t need you to be so alone, in the real me
that only my darkness has known.
This colourless wonder,
seeps through my fingertips,
onto these pages so I show this to myself,
myself you see in yourself.
