What should you get me,
I wonder?
What will make me smile,
bring life to my eyes,
a sparkle of joy?
Diamond facets with icicle beauty?
Tactile pashmina of finest brushed silk?
Which of these
will rescusitate your Love?

Just get me,
that's all I ask.
Take the time to notice
my reality.
I need nothing but your understanding.
And love.

The present means nothing if the heart isn't behind it. Very well expressed, and written. A poem to keep coming back to.

The Christmas gift that keeps on giving for all eternity, for both you and he. I hope your Christmas wish, Yuletide prayer is heard and granted sweet sister BoBo.

David/Fearless/Ellie/Kath - thanks so much for your comments. Often I think that the gifts given are a substitute for what people really truly need from those close to them. Time, understanding, open arms - these are worth so much more. Diamond earrings are very pretty but don't mean that I feel loved, needed, wanted...
