Posted: 01 December 2003 Word Count: Summary: A young yuppie couple move into their new home in the country to discover someone is living in their shed!
Graham, this is a magnificent piece, full of wonderful twists and surprises, turning the action very neatly indeed! I laughed out loud at Mrs. Digby's knowledge of commerce and the internet--an excellent set up for Margaret's investment sense.
One small typo
Mrs Jones looks around and begins dusting
presumably for Mrs. Digby.
Again, a terrific piece--has it had a perfomance?

P.S. I struggled not to say 'Orton-like' of this piece--but it does seem an apt description, and is most definitely a compliment! I really did enjoy this one enormously!
I invisage this as being about 20mins, is that correct? The story is witty and in places well researched but as you are writing such a short piece you sometimes lean towards spoon feeding. The play operates around four characters and I must assume that it has been written especially for a group of four, if not is Mrs. Digby necessary?
Overall this is an interesting farce but its too fast paced. I think that you push the story on too quickly and that the play doesnt do credit to the concept, a gypsy living in the shed at the bottom of the garden, which I liked.
Like Tim I am intrigued to know if this was performed at any stage?
