My heart was badly broken, split in two. Cast aside as you do.
For years it was dormant, not needed unused not surprised.
Then you came along, not sure it will mend as of now we will just stay friends.

Now, that is very beautiful, simple and honest; a lovely summation of a frame-of-heart. This really spoke to me. Been there. One tiny suggestion.........?
not needed
not used
unsurprised

The poem asks an interesting question. I think the answer is 'yes', but love is never the same twice, is it? It's important to remember that.

Simple. Affecting. The sad eloquence of loss. The guarded hope of something -- purpose? certainties? -- regained if not now, then, well. . . One day.
Loved it.
