The Last light

Unto his last night he rode
Leaving his world behind him.
Into the darkness he walked
Carrying his en-armoured will around him.
Through the smokey shadows he trod
Breathing this last moment of calm before him.
Staring into the madness of violence he saw
Death, in battle beckoning to him

Even in the heat of the battle, when death beckons to you, serenity envelopes you. It's just fine to walk on towards him.

Hi Fearless,
I have to give you a big 'aye' to that my friend.
Look past the visage of rage, gaze through the maw of hate, glimpse into the eyes of the unknown and you will find of yourself, even in death.

Man, am I a morbid bugger today or what!

Death needn't be anything to be afraid of, deny or run away from. We exist beyond death; without life death cannot exist, and without death, would we have an incentive to truly live?

Hi Fearless,
True words if ever spoken!

We only appreciate living when we either come face to face with the reality of death either by personal risk or by loved ones passing over from our domain.
Only then do we realise how short our time here, how small our influence is if we fail to try to live to our potential.

Love and luck to you and yours
Sam
