That magic you can taste,
those fizzing moments on
the tongue, the ice cream
hit on teeth, when
you realise,

as you draw the curtains
and look out over your world,
that Nature has done her best.

And nothing can ever

ever

match the child-like
delight it always brings.

The thaw will surely come
tonight
or very soon
but

now

I can savour the snow

Oh yes. I love that looking out of the curtains moment too - nicely described here in the first stanza. And I always admire the way you know just where to break lines. Very nice.

You've captured that special moment so well, Joanie! I love that moment, too, when you look out the window and see the freshly fallen snow. Amazement at the pure beauty of it all.

Hi Joanie,

I think you've caught one of those shared experiences here. I particularly like 'the ice cream hit on your teeth', it captures that moment when you can only focus on the 'now'.

Cheers

Mark
