Weird Hair Day

As I peered,
Listlessly
Into the mirror
This morning
I was rudely seized
By a moment
Of frenzied activity
Of twisting and twirling
My long tresses
Into peculiar shapes
The many tufty bits
Of which
I affixed
With little clippy things.
The result
I like to call
‘Medusa, Tribute to Glastonbury’
And, from this
Moment of
Hair twirling fury,
My day improved
Enormously
Largely due to the
The petrified gawping
Of my colleagues.
