US Soldiers.
Full of propaganda and democratic zeal
the US soldiers came to Iraq; five years
later they now know there is no Mission
Accomplished. The soldiers have grown
up and no longer believe in this war, they
now call useless, mockingly laugh when
politicians speak of winning.
Good, working-class kids, manipulated
and lied to, from small towns and rural
communities, they are true Americans
who love their country, I salute them and
hope their leaders will think well before
asking them to fight, bleed and die for yet
another useless war.
