Harangue me ludicrously
With logical arguments.
Foretell an unpalatable future
A future, always uncast.
Predict a barbed path
Driven by divisive demons.
Tell me I will sever
A blissful bond,
So strong.
Deride me
For wallowing
In enchanted waters.
Cast my heart’s light
Into the bottomless black pit.
Dare me to dream
The implausible.
To all this and more
You have my ear.
But, with respect
I laugh in the face of impossibility
The oyster is my world
Rules are made to be broken.
With logical arguments.
Foretell an unpalatable future
A future, always uncast.
Predict a barbed path
Driven by divisive demons.
Tell me I will sever
A blissful bond,
So strong.
Deride me
For wallowing
In enchanted waters.
Cast my heart’s light
Into the bottomless black pit.
Dare me to dream

To all this and more
You have my ear.
But, with respect
I laugh in the face of impossibility
The oyster is my world
Rules are made to be broken.
