Moving On.

Posted: 24 September 2003 Word Count: 61 Summary: A few lines about moving-on from my marriage. |
|
I chose to crawl away,
to leave behind all that I was
and had always been.
In that moment I became
something more than you could allow -
just simply ME.
Your eyes like rubies wept,
selfish tears that didn't care,
for anyone but YOU.
We'd had our day, our chance.
Love withered so long ago,
leaving the carcass of US.
to leave behind all that I was
and had always been.
In that moment I became
something more than you could allow -
just simply ME.
Your eyes like rubies wept,
selfish tears that didn't care,
for anyone but YOU.
We'd had our day, our chance.
Love withered so long ago,
leaving the carcass of US.
