A friend forever, you told me to be,
So I tried my hardest and I thought I’d succeed.
But in the end, I followed your steps,
I walked out the door,
Left you alone
And I told you to do things all on your own.
In a few weeks you where back at my door, crying and whining
Wanting something more.
How can I give someone all that I have?
When they take something from me, tear it in half,
And try to return it broken and no longer new.
I gave it so carefully,
My heart and my soul,
But when I got it back it was broken and used.
So this friendship won’t last,
It’s ending right here, so find someone new,
So you can end up hurting them too.
