The Bipolar battles are raging
I'm fighting with all my might,
to try to make sense of emotions
and know what is wrong from right.
My thinking is muddled and messy
my body is aching and heavy,
to get out of bed fills me with dread
washing and eating evade me.
Chemical imbalance controls me
thought and word and deed,
from the lethargy of depression
to maniacal heights at speed.
I long for calmer days
and nights that hold no fear,
a stability of emotions
to cease unending tears.
I'm fighting with all my might,
to try to make sense of emotions
and know what is wrong from right.
My thinking is muddled and messy
my body is aching and heavy,
to get out of bed fills me with dread
washing and eating evade me.
Chemical imbalance controls me
thought and word and deed,
from the lethargy of depression
to maniacal heights at speed.
I long for calmer days
and nights that hold no fear,
a stability of emotions
to cease unending tears.
