Injustice tightens its merciless screw
The enraged lion is cornered.
There is no escape as
The future takes on its horrific shape.

The lion is plunged
Through the profundity of breath-taking pain,
Through the final frontier of fear,
Through the splintering shards of his soul
Into meltdown.

He lays lacerated
Gripped in grief’s vice
Suffocated by the loss of his mate.

And as his tears and blood
Into the soil flood
He understands
That reality is not always tangible
That magic is not extinguishable
That oneness is not divisible.

He knows that
His lioness will continue
To run with him
Through the wild grasses
Across the plains of promise.

And, as the raindrops kiss his face
He is catapulted
Into the realm of grace.

Life flows through the Lion
The lion flows through Life.

It's a great piece of work and both the Lion and Lioness would love this, as they both love you.
