TWO HAIKU

The Wrong Words

these words are a noose
a one handed scarf of love
squeezing out my life

a tripping friendship
leading me a straying way
into a new maze

around each corner
a new desolation waits
making do perfected

around each other
we dance like ships in a fright
the shore lines snap

the wrong words tumble
juggler falling overboard
Captain walking plank.

Poetry Saves

the dreaming engine
roaring inside your whisper
conveys a new word

the nightmare vandal
gagging your soft wilderness
being sabotaged

by the sharp letters
falling black stars splashing down
into paper earth.

I loved both. I could see images in my mind as I read them. Each one made me think as well. Poetry Saves rang a bell of emotions in me. Great work John.
