Her fingers encircle another body,
Fated to join her cursed army,
Some are born into her ranks,
Some fall through foolishness or mistakes,
She once plagued those in love with their own,
Now indiscriminate, but through love she flows,
Among the stuff of life she brings about death,
Leaving families and communities drowned in a mess,
Always changing, never the same way,
No chance to stand and fight, she takes you to the grave.

I take this to be about HIV/AIDS. If not, it doesn't really matter, as, whatever the stealthy killer is intended to be, this is a powerful, disturbibg and thouight-provoking poem. Keep scribbling.

Best,

A very good piece; deep, moving and poignant.

Very much a "black widow" in a modern context,
but without the romance?

Not sure if I agree with the intended sentiment, but do agree with Ticonderoga - keep writing!
