Stopped to watch sunlight unravel
Shaded in broad charcoal bands
Severed strings to halt its travel
Bagged and bound in midnight strands

Snuffed out moonbeams spectral wick
Brushed pale shadows at a stroke
Plugged each pinhole starlight pricked
Tacked pitch sails to twilight’s cloak

Choked dewdrop thirsty desert dreams
Teased clouds finespun parched wisps of salt
Weaved ultraviolet flawless seams
Etched burning tears in sandstone vaults

Drowned music in a silent well
Stifled prose split muted tongue
Imprisoned waves beneath a shell
Suppressed the song from being sung

Trampled form and figure level
Washed out colour monochrome
Blinded eyes that seek the devil
Dismantled time and made it home

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I absolutely loved this - a mesmerising incantation indeed and reminded me of the 3 witches in Macbeth. I wouldn't change anything - except I think you might need to tidy up the rhythm of the 1st 2 lines of the 3rd (middle) stanza - when reading aloud, I did stumble over these ones each time - they might need less syllables?

LoL
