Harsh, Didau, harsh. You try furnishing a flat on no money and without inherited furniture!
There was a young man from Korea
Who went shopping each week in Ikea
When he bought his last blue mug,
He'd made his appartment quite snug,
That ingenious young man from Korea.
;)

i'm all for cheap furnishing maria, but really, i can't think of many fairer targets for satire. surely they don't deserve such robust defence. are you hoping for some gift vouchers?

There was a young man bought a flat,
And decorated it nicely, no tat.
But in order to pay for the baubles and taste,
He worked too many hours to spend time in his place,
That sorry young fan of Habitat.
This is fun, David, you've made me stop filling in excel sheets and type limericks instead! Write more! I know my rhythm's all out. Shall we stick with home furn?
Love, Maria.

I love Limericks and you have created an excellent one. The last line is great and I enjoyed the play on words between soul and Seoul! Clever, witty work.

Very witty.
Despite the capitals, it still managed to surpirse me... You cleverly use the rhythm and rhyme to reel the reader in, lulling them into a false sense of security, only to shove a bomb under their bum and light the match! More cunning than a particularly cunning fox...
Well done!

hadn't considered the soul/seoul thing to be honest - i always enjoy the feeling of a depth graeter than i was aware of being discovered in my work

There was a young girl called Maria
Who came to the defence of Ikea
When challenged in rhyme
She said please don’t malign
Then took it up as a career
