As I slept Calliope stole into my room,
She kissed me on my forehead,
Through dermis and bone her powers prevailed,
Grey matter shook; synapses snapped,
Neurons niggled each one their neighbour.
And when I awoke, I found I could write,
But not poetry.
She kissed me on my forehead,
Through dermis and bone her powers prevailed,
Grey matter shook; synapses snapped,
Neurons niggled each one their neighbour.
And when I awoke, I found I could write,
But not poetry.
