Robert Eggleston

I was born in Kent and moved to Sussex when I was 7.

I began writing poetry as a teenager but sadly (or happily) most of my teenage efforts have been lost.

In the last 3 years I have begun writing on a regular basis (on average one piece a month). Most of my work has a faith based theme to it and has been used as the basis of folk/acoustic based songs in conjunction with my creative partner Julie Hall. We have produced 1 CD ("Bluebells Rising") which sold reasonably well and another album is due out this year.

My first volume of poetry is due out in the summer.

My favourite poets are (in no particular order) - Gerald Manley Hopkins, Wilfrid Owen, Alexander Pope, Stewert Henderson, W. B.Yeats, A.E.Houseman, John Keats.
