Robin Vandenberg Herrnfeld

Robin was born in Southern California and grew up in Blue Jay, in the San Bernardino mountains. She has always loved reading and .... writing, though she took a rather long detour to arrive at the latter.
The road took her as an exchange student to Germany, led her through a German major at the University of California and back to Germany. There ensued years of office work, and then she - finally - started to write.
After publishing a true-life story about the Jamaican/British victim of a Neo-Nazi attack in Germany, Robin has turned to writing short fiction and, most recently, poetry.
Some of her short fiction and poetry pieces have been published in Everyday Fiction, Everyday Poets and Static Movement. She's pleased that her story "Box of Balloons" has been included in Everyday Fiction's anthology of the 100 Best Stories of 2008.
