Pauline Masurel

I am a writer and gardener living in the South West of England. I have written fiction of varying lengths and for a variety of different media but particularly enjoy writing tiny stories. I'm currently Writer in Residence at Bloom & Curll bookshop in Bristol and can be found there on Wednesday afternoons.

My work has been broadcast on Radio 4, appeared in print in anthologies of short stories and also been published online. One of my short-shorts, Discovering a Comet, will be the title story of a forthcoming collection of Micro-Fiction from Leaf Books.

I've read my stories live in venues as various as Foyles bookshop, Bath Guildhall, afloat on a riverboat and in a disused toilet block. I read regularly for the Heads & Tales collective, including performances at The Secret Garden Party this summer.

I also enjoy discussing writing, both online and off, and co-ordinate the Bath-based writers' group, Company of Writers. I am a regular reviewer at The Short Review, the most recent contribution being a review of Jim Crace's The Devil's Larder.

Further details of my writing can be found at my website, unfurling.net
