Christian Voice to stage further protests against poetry book

Christian activists are due to stage a protest outside the Welsh Assembly tomorrow over Patrick Jones's poetry collection Darkness Is Where the Stars Are, which they describe as "ugly, indecent and blasphemous".

How depressing, and yet amusing, that some small-minded Christians should find themselves sufficiently incensed by literature that they need to rise up collectively to oppose poetry!
In a way, I suppose, it should encourage all writers that their work really does matter: the pen, it seems, is mighty indeed.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I shall make a point of purchasing Patrick Jones's poetry collection now. We must not let the censors and the bigots win. Freedom of expression is a cornerstone of British life.
