He currently lives in Japan with his partner who is the height of a pygmy. They both work as English teachers although they are reminded daily that they are not real teachers.
Kal worked professionally as an actor and dancer and recently returned to the world of academia to complete a degree in drama and creative writing.
He can't remember a time when he has not been writing something. He recently reached the ripe old of age of nearly thirty and when not immersed in denial spends his time writing.
Moving to Japan has given him more time to focus on his literary passion. The beautiful Japanese countryside has provided endless threads of inspiration but instead he chooses to focus on the weird and wonderful side of the Japanese psyche.
