Not a published poet or author, I'm afraid .... I write simply for pleasure or to please family and friends. Poetry provides a welcome release from 'the daily round, the common task', which is basically teaching French (for over 30 years now - a terrifying thought!). My two children have now left the nest and are financially independent - bliss!
I am from the North West of England but now live on the beautiful Isle of Man, which should be the ideal place to find inspiration for poetry.
I 'perform' my poetry on local radio, on a 'Just a Minute' slot from time to time.
I would love to say that my ambition is to be published, but ..... I don't know. Perhaps after retirement, when, one would think, there will be more time to improve and more time to spare.
