'Antiques News and Fairs originated in 1997, when the independent antiques dealers' newspaper, Antiques & Art Independent was published for the first time and went on to publish over half a million copies. It was published on the internet a few months later when in 1998, Antiques & Art Independent linked up with an American antiques newspaper and established an internet edition to promote the British antiques trade on both sides of the Atlantic.'
