A week of workshops and events for poets, writers and all lovers of language.

A week of workshops and events for poets, writers and all lovers of language.

   7 August 2008

Contributing poets include: Roselle Angwin, Mimi Khalvati, Andie Lewenstein, Janis Mackay, Paul Matthews and Hugo Williams.

Each morning there will be a workshop with the workshop leader of your choice and the focus will be on craft and creative process.

Afternoons offer a group in the art of speaking poetry, walks, conversation and time for individual writing. This year's theme is 'What Makes a Poet'? and we will explore this through lively debate and responses to prepared contributions from our visiting poets.

In the evenings: poetry readings (with music), dancing, and a bonfire to end the week.

Emerson College provides beautiful grounds, wholesome food and dedication to the free and creative spirit of each individual.
