Fountain of Youth

Cast the sky in silver skin;
let it breathe its open ends
when you and I are raised
upon the tree as arms extend--
clasp finger with ripe fruit,
crush of Venus, swollen cleft
where rivers blend lips spend
daylight from gray vaults
every cell renews whole cloth.

I watch your eyes retrieve the dark
My mouth has stars and broken ark
We live together as fields are sowed
in the next chapters we are not old.
