So much she could see,
similar but disparate,
no doubt a representation of everything –
the extremes of salubrious security
spliced with dangerous decadence -
granite solidity tempered
with essence of firefly.

Good or bad,
disgrace or glory,
grey has no place when,
on a thread,
it hangs in the balance.
