I thought winter would pass us by
until I looked at the grizzly sky
large flakes of snow fall to the ground
wind is howling,homeward bound.

Put away the boots,snuggle close to the fire
hot mug of soup to warm my desire
snow getting thicker by the hour
winter wonderland with resolving power.
