I am wired in.
This is a fact I have to
come to terms with.
My mobile my lover
the last thing I touch at night
the first thing I turn on at dawn,
brushing my teeth while
ear-plugging my Blue Tooth.
My Ipod, my inspiration,
they will never know
the sheer sensation
as I funk my way -
rebelling against
the mediocrity of the day.
My laptop, my imagination
infinite, mind-expanding-bending diversity,
googling away the hours
lol-ing with friends, wannabe admirers...
Umbilical severence
not an option -
my handbag stuffed as it is
with chargers ,
and with each new arrival
(borne by couriers I know by name)
I unwrap with an-ti-ci-pa-tion,
blissfully transported
to the delectation
of gizmo heaven.
Bling, I am Gadget Queen.
This is a fact I have to
come to terms with.
