The Silent Scream

"When the suppressed voice tries to cry out loud,
When the inner pain smothers you out,
When the mind is nothing but a kaleidoscope,
That shows colours of all kind, but of hope,
When introspection makes you appear so hideous,
What with accusations of crime that seem so heinous,
When every thought just seems to remind,
Of all the moments not so benign,
When the peace of mind is what you yearn to redeem,
But the inner conflicts just refuse to rescind,
When an ecclesiastical sermon seems to be the only shelter,
But confusion makes you run around helter-skelter,
When every time you seem to have resorted to recrimination,
When instead, should have accepted the legitimate incrimination,
When you feel exasperated for being at times, the transgressor,
And for the wounds inflicted, when you were the transgressed,
Close your eyes , My child,
Steer your mind away from these waves so wild,
Recognize the spirit within you, that is still alive,
Despite all the mayhem and conflicts inside,
The spirit that beckons you to step aside,
All the paranoia within that does reside,
Why be so woebegone about all that is past,
When it's time for the ships to cruise along, all full mast,
Pretensions are not what you should resort to anyhow,
True intention is all that you will need, now."
