Ruby red
is the colour of my love
darker than blood
it blends sublime
unravelling welcomley
the furious workings
of my mind.
Full bodied
is the shape of my muse
free from the constricting
bodice of sobriety
breasts swaying gaily
gently mesmorising
the blues.
Elemental is the nature of my desire
indisputable, its enchanting effect
a blissful remedy to fracious enemies,
the hypocrites,
leaving a soul unrestrained
- free to breathe.
Just enough, not too much
to unshroud the hidden stairway
to the candle-lit den
of nightime insanity
free from daytime chains
of moral probity.
Just enough, not too much
to transport upon a halcyon breeze
to land bemused
in time-warped twilight refuge.
