Storm driven waves crash
Over the harbour wall.
She stands rooted,
Eyes scouring the
Grey, rain lashed horizon.
She sees nothing, save
The tumultuous waves and
A flickering lighthouse.
Salt spray stings her
Pale worry pinched cheeks,
Mingling with
Fast flowing tears,
Streaming from
Red ringed, sea blue eyes.
Wild wind whips around her,
Tousling a mane of
Long blonde locks into
A frenzy of knots and curls.
Pulling her coat tight
About touch aching body
She strains her ears.
She hears nothing, save
The howling wind
And relentless
Crashing sea.
Over the harbour wall.
She stands rooted,
Eyes scouring the
Grey, rain lashed horizon.
She sees nothing, save
The tumultuous waves and
A flickering lighthouse.
Salt spray stings her
Pale worry pinched cheeks,
Mingling with
Fast flowing tears,
Streaming from
Red ringed, sea blue eyes.
Wild wind whips around her,
Tousling a mane of
Long blonde locks into
A frenzy of knots and curls.
Pulling her coat tight
About touch aching body
She strains her ears.
She hears nothing, save
The howling wind
And relentless
Crashing sea.
