She smiles
The anger comes strong
When this stupid sod does wrong
A curse and a frown
Hours to calm down
Then,
she smiles…
Tears for the pain
Stressed and unhappy again
Arguments spoken loud
The world and its crowd
Then,
she smiles…
Her time only hired
Returns home weary and tired
Hours stretched too long
Morning comes with bird song
Then,
she smiles…
The kiss of warm skin
Life growing within
An urge becomes a craving
Likes chewing black paving
Then,
she smiles…
Three years and then
Life grows once again
Stretched and contorted
Another baby boy is reported
Then,
she smiles…
A family in the making
Time for giving, not taking
Spread far and wide
Still standing by my side
Then,
she smiles…
God I love her smile!
