ENJOYING THIS MOMENT
by Beanie Baby
Posted: Tuesday, May 18, 2004 Word Count: 119 Summary: Written during one of my lighter moments (well - I'm a writer, I'm entitled to moodswings!) |
I'm just enjoying this moment.
I'm happy to be me.
Instead of locked in tormet,
I know I'm truly free.
Instead of being lonely,
two loving arms embrace.
Instead of being left behind,
I'm leading in the race.
I will no longer mutter,
or grouch about my lot,
instead I'll just be grateful
for everything I've got.
I'll always tell our children
"Be proud of who you are,
know we'll always love you
whether near or far.
All of us are special,
each of us unique.
We all have lots to offer
each hour, each day, each week."
So just enjoy this moment,
know you are the best,
for nobody can take away
the things with which you're blessed!
