My Fantasy Writing Place

It’s the vile smell that hits me most, but after ten minutes I am used to it. Just being here gives me fantastic inspiration; it’s better than any library or any computer. However, it does take a while to get here as I have to journey through time and space, but once I’m here the sights and sounds make the hazardous time travel worthwhile.

The seventeenth century can’t be bought or re-created. I need to experience it for myself. I need to walk down the dirty streets, listen to the people and touch the clothes. Then I need to sit in a tavern and write, quill in hand, with a jug of ale and some bread and cheese.

Mind you after a couple of hours I begin to itch, so it is not with a heavy heart that I return to the sterile twenty first century.
