Burnt Sienna

by  The Walrus

Posted: Thursday, March 4, 2004
Word Count: 79
Summary: An inspiration.

Sensory oblivion
Her unchallenged domain
Not for the faint of heart
The apathetic majority
Clinging doggedly to sanity

Chest thrust out
In nipple pointing pout
Devil’s delight
Dancing in the liquid black
Of her eyes,
Diamond mind
Cutting the glass
Of the mentally confined

No obstacle too daunting
The higher, the better
For pole vaulting
Untamed, unrestrained
Carefree and profane
All this and much much more

Burnt,
Sometimes charred
But the core
Always
Remains unscarred

Guiltless
Shameless

Forever Sienna.
