an Egyptian duck
pushing past shopping trolley
a jet diamond pin,

a biker ripping
broken grass opened up
the ink well drying,

the winter branches
dark bones knuckling back to spring
the nail pulled inside,

a Roman Mallard
water rings centring sunlight
the old man in tears.
