PAIN
No use complaining
No one can hear
Any more
No use crying
No one can see tears
Any more
No use bemoaning your fate
Because that is why
It is called fate.
No one stopped caring
Love is still there but
Your cross is yours to bear
Can love overcome
Self-stealing pain
Struggling again and again
The life that I have
is all that I have
But is it still mine
To be is to feel
To feel is to love
Can we love in pain
Must pain destroy
All that I am
In the blink of an eye
I am not pain
My pain is not me
How could that be
And yet here I stand
Struggling to be
Please set me free
I still want to live
I long to still love
To cherish and give
But pain ties my hands
Shackles my feet
He’s a bastard to beat.
No use complaining
No one can hear
Any more
No use crying
No one can see tears
Any more
No use bemoaning your fate
Because that is why
It is called fate.
No one stopped caring
Love is still there but
Your cross is yours to bear
Can love overcome
Self-stealing pain
Struggling again and again
The life that I have
is all that I have
But is it still mine
To be is to feel
To feel is to love
Can we love in pain
Must pain destroy
All that I am

I am not pain
My pain is not me

And yet here I stand
Struggling to be
