The pendulum of rain 
 sounds  a bit poppy 
it is as  strong as a  pot  of drunk  ground coffee 
draining the porous that makes my tongue sticky 
The survival through sedation 
from the cold comfort of instant percolation 
Tuning into that flower power 
I drop those pain relief tablets 
To get my hung up over 
 the rest of my day
is the like the resistance of air 
from the pivot of my arms rising up off the sofa
