HIDDEN CONFLICT

Since The War ended, how many have died.
Unsung heroes and victims of that fateful tide.
No one has counted but governments have lied.
It’s never so easy for the ones we denied.

We now live in a country untroubled by war
Although we remember what happened before
There are parts of some nations that can never break free,
They fight, kill and maim but don’t want to be seen.

The terrors of war roam the world wide,
\Some nations cannot stem the fast flowing tide.
The women and children who die for a price -
Oh why can’t we learn not to do something twice.

Rwanda and Ireland, Iraq and more still,
All add to the toll which will never stop - till
We all live in peace and do not hate mankind.
Let’s all join together and leave war behind.

Whatever belief you hold to be true,
It cannot support all the killing we do.
Raise all your voices and cry out again,
An end to the wars and the killing of men.

Teach all our children to share with their friends
And to strive and to work ‘till race hatred ends.
The young could see peace take place in their lives
And live with each other so mankind survives.
