Oh... to be pitied Humankind
For begetting child swifter
More able than itself.
Confused head, haggard body,
They do not comprehend
How summer sun can embrace
But in mere hours autumn cloud;
Plenty of moons that wax and wane
takes Mother Nature, to
blanket sun with cloud.
But now winged birds we have
Aircraft ever nimbler than
Man or Mother Nature ever be.
And bewildered and confused
By jetlag, mankind now
Slave to its offspring,
Struggles to comprehend
What seasons be.
