The water’s oiled surface
Glinting slick its inky red
Bubbles pricking
Heralding the coming
Reverberating recesses
Of the underworld
Its waiting with
Respectful bated breath.

The viscous vibrations
Moving deep and low
Climbing powerful and slow

He is coming
He is rising.

The surging swell
Now foaming
Until finally emerging
With slow crashing
The humble head
Splitting the surface.
Body revealing
Rippling
Dripping slow drops
Arms majestically outstretched
Bended head of homage
The mesmerizing rising
The divine mirage
The awesome ascension

The angel has risen.
