THE POLICE INVESTIGATION

THE MAIN DESK. THERE IS A COMPUTER MONITOR ON IT. A WPC AND A SERGEANT ARE IN DISCUSSION. THE WPC APPEARS ANXIOUS.

WPC: (WITH URGENCY) Sarge, sarge….

SERGEANT Alright, calm down. What’s the problem?

WPC: It’s the Super. He can’t find the mug shots and he’s gone ballistic. He chewed my head off just now!

SERGEANT: Well knowing him he hasn’t searched properly. Have you asked him if he’s absolutely sure he’s not seen them?

WPC: Oh sure. Can you imagine me saying (IN A CHILDISH VOICE) “Oh excuse me Chief Superintendent, but have you really looked hard enough – derrrrr!”

SERGEANT: Yes, I see your point.

WPC: Do you know he’s actually accusing me of putting them in the wrong place!

SERGEANT: Oh he’s absolutely hopeless but don’t worry, because luckily I know exactly where those mug shots are.

WPC: Really?

SERGEANT: (SMUGLY) Oh yes.

HE CLICKS THE MOUSE. CLOSE UP OF THE SCREEN SHOWING THE EBAY SELLERS PAGE WITH A PICTURE OF THE MUCH SOUGHT AFTER COFFEE MUGS.

AN AGONISING CRY IS HEARD IN THE DISTANCE AND ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT REACT, THE CAMERA FOLLOWS THE SOUND.
